SilverStone Renovations - Brand Identity
Toronto
2024
The Brief
A Toronto-based renovation company approached me for just an updated logo. But as I dug deeper, I realized they needed a comprehensive brand identity for their large-scale renovations and house flipping business. Despite being in business for several years, the client lacked clear brand direction, so the challenge was defining a brand personality and creating a versatile identity system that could work across everything from truck wraps to business cards.
The Process
I started with strategic discovery sessions, exploring their 5-year vision and preferred mediums. I also conducted an industry knowledge audit and competitive analysis. From there, I developed three logo concepts using serif typography for reliability and longevity, a wood grain texture as a subtle "SSR" abbreviation, and warm earth tones emphasizing professional craftsmanship.
The Solution
I created a timeless brand system that balances modern aesthetics with classic reliability. The final logo features a monochromatic palette suited to the construction industry, with versatile applications across mediums. The wood grain pattern became the primary brand element across all touchpoints.
